Studio
Over the last year, I’ve dedicated more time to monetizing my own products—not just for the recurring income (recurring doesn’t mean passive; don’t fall into that trap) but because they allow me to experiment with ideas and tools in a more flexible way than consulting or full-time roles typically do.These products are developed by freelance engineers, following the strategy, designs, and requirements that I define.

Victor Rius
Product Manager with 11 years of experience in the software industry and a strong foundation in software development. My expertise lies primarily in Mobile Apps and SaaS, though I also have experience with eCommerce projects.Beyond my professional roles, I monetize my own products and teach on Activation and Retention in Product Management courses.
Back in 2014, I started my journey as an app developer, diving into the world of technology and creation. However, even then, I found myself more captivated by the strategic decisions that guided a product’s direction than by the actual code itself. This realization marked the beginning of my transition into Product Management, where I could channel my curiosity and pragmatism into creating and evolving digital experiences into profitable businesses.
To me, the essence of success lies in doing the right things more than doing things right. There’s nothing worse than executing something flawlessly only to realize it was the wrong thing to do. This distinction shapes my approach to Product Management, where the ultimate goal is to ensure the right decisions are made. Tools like user research, data analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and prioritization frameworks are just the means to achieve that purpose.
I used to be an ultramarathon runner and a long-distance triathlete, spending countless hours on the road and in the water. Over time, though, I traded those grueling outdoor sessions for the comfort of the gym—because let’s be honest, AC and heating are underrated perks :) Along the way, I also discovered a passion for freediving. There’s something incredible about holding your breath, feeling completely weightless, and connecting with the underwater world.
Outside of sports, I love the energy of a good party, especially with music that hits over 160bpm. Although now, being based in Asia, I’m learning to adapt to other styles—but the beats still keep me going.
